StemWave Therapy in New York Mills
Living with chronic pain can be exhausting. When a problem has been bothering you for months or even years, it’s easy to start wondering if anything will truly help. At Adirondack Chiropractic, Dr. Kolwaite utilizes Stemwave therapy because he has seen firsthand how powerful it can be, both as a chiropractor and as a patient himself.
Why Dr. Kolwaite Believes in Stemwave Therapy
“I didn’t add Stemwave therapy simply because it was the newest technology available. A few years ago, I developed severe foot problems that made walking difficult and forced me to stop running. Even standing for extended periods became challenging. After trying Stemwave therapy myself and experiencing significant improvement, I knew I had to bring the technology to my patients.”
Imagine a technology that can actually help or even reverse a chronic condition. Such a thing has never existed until now.”

What Is Stemwave Therapy?
Stemwave is an advanced type of shockwave therapy. This modality uses specialized acoustic pressure waves that are delivered through a handheld device. These pressure waves stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, increase circulation, and help reduce inflammation in injured or irritated tissues. Stemwave in particular, penetrates deeper than most other types of shockwave allowing the practitioner to effectively work on hard to get to places like hip joints.
Conditions Commonly Addressed
Many patients seeking Stemwave therapy have already tried other options and are searching for an alternative before considering more invasive procedures. Stemwave therapy has become a popular option for patients experiencing:
- Plantar fasciitis
- Arthritic knees and hips
- Rotator cuff injuries
- Tennis elbow
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- TMJ discomfort
- Herniated discs
- Sciatica
- Neck pain
- Chronic back pain
- Overuse injuries
Stemwave is A Game-Changer
One of the most exciting aspects of Stemwave therapy is its ability to help people dealing with long-standing problems. “It’s a game-changer,” says Dr. Kolwaite. ” I am passionate about educating prospective patients about Stemwave because I lived it”.
Many patients arrive frustrated because they have spent months or years trying to manage the same issue by conventional means, like physical therapy, injections and/or chiropractic care. They feel limited by pain, unable to enjoy activities they once loved, or concerned about the possibility of surgery. For these individuals, Stemwave therapy offers another option worth considering. ” I tell patients to research Stemwave beforehand because the science and results are so promising.”
What to Expect During Treatment
Your first visit includes a consultation and focused examination so we can better understand your condition and goals. The actual treatment usually takes about five to eight minutes. While some inflamed areas may feel mildly uncomfortable during treatment, most patients tolerate it very well. After your appointment, you can return to your normal routine. We simply recommend avoiding strenuous activity for the remainder of the day.
Many patients begin noticing improvement within 1 to 3 visits, with foot, knee, and shoulder conditions often responding particularly well. Thorough healing usually takes about 7 to 12 visits (4 to 6 weeks) where you feel better and stay better.
