Meet Dr. James Kolwaite
“A local chiropractor, who was a childhood acquaintance of mine had convinced me to ‘just give it a try,’ after all it had to be better than living with the pain which I had been doing daily for more than 5 years. A high school football injury left me with chronic neck and arm pain.”
Chiropractic Education
Dr. Kolwaite applied to and was accepted to New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in Senecs Falls NY. During his four years at NYCC, he studied courses including biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques, body mechanics, posture, and patient care in the NYCC Public Clinic. After graduating in 1998 Dr. Kolwaite returned to his native Mohawk Valley to establish his practice.
Outside the Office
When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Kolwaite enjoys spending time outdoors. His hobbies include camping and fishing in the Thousand Islands, exploring and skiing in the Adirondacks, and three-putting at many of the region’s beautiful golf courses.

“We love skeptics,” smiles Dr. Kolwaite. “I still remember the concerns and apprehension I had when I went to the chiropractor for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to overcommunicate. Patients appreciate that.”
“My goal has been to treat people how I would want to be treated.” – Dr. James Kolwaite
